WHAT IS IT ABOUT HEATHER BENSON……………….
she’s BZZZY selling real estate ! - (or so says her number plate)
We are told to always write in the “third person” when compiling a profile or bio - well do you know what, I think that is kinda silly don’t you. If I am explaining to you what I can offer when dealing with your real estate matters, it seems strange to say “she”. My Mother always taught me, that “She” was the Mothers’ Cat !!
So, Hi I am Heather Benson. I live in Whitianga, and have done for the past 8 years. I truly enjoy and love this Mercury Bay area, my favourite places being Otama, Opito Bay and Matapaua Bay. I feel very lucky and privileged to live in such a beautiful part of our magnificent country. They say that you go back to your roots, well I was born here many years ago, in Thames - funny old world isn’t it - here I am..
After most of my life being involved in sales and marketing, I chose real estate as a means to earn a living here because I really do enjoy people and feel that I can develop an easy rapport with folk of all ages and from all walks of life. I believe in building trust and rapport, and that’s what I set out to do. I believe also in integrity, truth, honesty and fair dealings with all whom I meet in my life.
Family and friends are far more important to me than monetary gain and fancy possessions. However, that was a lesson hard learnt in the past, and being able to live in the now and be thankful is a wonderful motivator. I am not motivated by money, isn’t that a strange thing to say - but its true. I am however, motivated by meeting the challenges of real estate, and getting the job done.
I guess it is the satisfaction of a job well done that motivates me to the next challenge. The many people I have dealt with over the past 10 years in real estate have given me joy in the simple things - like “thank you” when they find the home they have been looking for, or when I have been able to complete a successful negotiation to achieve a sale for them. They are sweet words when I work so hard, with my clients best interests’ at heart.
So what do you get when you work with me. Always fun and laughter, I try to live each day to the fullest, and I am a happy person; always the truth - and that is hard sometimes when I tell you I consider your property to be valued at less than you think - but I know the buyers’ expectations, so why disappoint you by “talking up” your property to a value that is unrealistic.
As a buyer, I will tell you any unusual aspects of a property, and let you make up your mind; I will show you the properties you have given me a brief for, and not the higher priced ones. How frustrating to be shown a property that you love - outside of your price range !! Why would I do that to you or to the seller??
Sellers : I will be honest in my feedback, and not waste your time on unnecessary and irrelevant information. My goal is to sell your property for the best price I can achieve in the present market, in a time frame that suits you, to a fully qualified and genuine buyer.
Buyers: I will listen to you, source properties for you, offer you some alternatives that you may not be aware of, take time to get to understand your requirements, and have pleasure Collapse
